Mott Street Dumpling Company got its roots from a now retired dim sum maker who had his family parlor on the corner of Mott and Grand Street in Chinatown NYC. It was a first generation American dream business where the children eventually had other aspirations and would not carry on the legacy. Original recipes and techniques have been passed on and new families have entered the picture to create what is now a collective of heritage recipes with modern techniques and ingredients.
Our potstickers are a Japanese & Chinese hybrid. Traditional Chinese techniques are utilized & paired with extra-thin fresh Japanese style “gyoza” dough resulting in an unparalleled, well textured & harmoniously flavored dumpling.
